Schwab Retirement Plan Services, an affiliate of Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. is one of the leading providers of bundled retirement plan services. Schwab’s combined expertise in recordkeeping and related services, investment choice and award-winning participant experience (including retirement plan advice) and high-end technology helps employers offer competitive employee benefits. Special Services provides highly specialized services to clients for non-qualified and employee stock ownership plans.

What you’ll do:

The Special Services Account Specialist is an individual contributor who possesses strong analytical and technical skills. Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

  • Perform analysis of plan provisions, participant status and elections to ensure timely and accurate distribution of executive accounts.

  • Perform set up and maintenance of Non-Qualified plan enrollment site.

  • Process participant distributions and payrolls within the Schwab record keeping system.

  • Provide second level review of analysis, distributions and participant payrolls for Non-Qualified and ESOP plans.

  • Calculate and post monthly and quarterly dividends for Non-Qualified and stock plans.

  • Provide assistance to Participant Services and Client Services to resolve client issues.

What you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or business-related field with a background in the retirement plan services industry preferred.

  • Knowledge of Schwab recordkeeping systems preferred.

  • Knowledge of non-qualified plans, ERISA, DOL and IRS regulations a plus.

  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications, specifically Excel and Access.

  • Ability to multi-task and work as a team player quickly, accurately and independently under deadlines.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication; business etiquette and time management skills.

  • Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule during peak volume periods.
