Our Opportunity:

Charles Schwab is searching for an Agile Methodologies Trainer. The Trainer is an expert Agile coach who is focusing their career on training (classroom, virtual, and eLearning). The ideal candidate is experienced with developing and editing course curriculum as well as teaching it. This candidate must possess experience and a proven track record of designing transformative Agile content, representing appropriate learning theories and strategies.

What you’ll do:

  • Partners with the other Agile coaches on the team to create engaging course designs and instructional materials

  • Identifies appropriate instructional strategies and defines learning objectives appropriate to end users

  • Designs, authors, and edits eLearning, virtual, blended and classroom curriculum, programs and learning aids

  • Acts as the team’s learning expert when determining, designing, and developing curriculum through research, team member input, Agile methodology knowledge and understanding of the company’s Agile maturity

  • Provides thorough and detailed quality assurance of all course material

  • Provides outstanding collaboration and communication in visual, oral, and written form

  • Maintains accurate archives of course documentation and departmental tracking documents and provides timely updates/reports as requested

  • Delivers engaging instructor led and virtual instructor led training to various learning audiences with varying degrees of topic understanding

  • Remains current on Agile related industry topics

  • Continually grows his/her craft learning new tools and techniques in the areas of Agile methodologies and training

  • Able to handle conflict resolution well, facilitating discussion and alternatives of different approaches

What you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • 2-5 years of Agile coaching experience

  • 2-5 years developing and delivering Agile training

  • Advanced writing and editing skills

  • Experience creating original, interactive learning content

  • Competent Agile coach who embraces servant-leadership

  • Capable of coaching Scrum and Kanban teams on Agile methodologies when not developing curriculum or teaching

Desired

  • Prior experience as a software developer strongly preferred

  • Experience working within a highly regulated environment strongly desired, preferably in the financial services industry

  • Experience developing and delivering workshops at conferences desired
