The Analytics & Business Insight (ABI) organization supports multiple business units across Schwab through quantitative-based decision support. Our mission is to help Schwab better understand our customers and harness the power of analytics, insights and thought leadership to drive business impact.
Our Data-Driven Communications (DDC) team within ABI provides our marketing and business partners with support in their acquisition and client engagement strategies by identifying events, triggers, alerts, attributes, etc., that create opportunities for relevant interactions with all customers. In addition to this targeted outreach, our team delivers analytics to measure and modeling to optimize the effectiveness of these programs.
Salesforce Marketing Cloud is a critical tool that utilizes real-time behavioral data for personalized cross channel messages in a scalable and automated environment for marketing.Therefore, a role has been created for an experienced technical subject matter expert in the areas of Marketing Cloud data management, scripting, API and custom integrations.
What you’ll do:
As Salesforce Marketing Cloud Administrator, this individual will have a hands-on role in the ongoing technical maintenance of the platform while helping build and then support the execution of our digital marketing programs using Marketing Cloud.
Provide expertise in marketing automation processes and campaign management
Manage ongoing ExactTarget/Marketing Cloud implementation, troubleshoot system errors and provide user support for a large enterprise
Develop and execute marketing programs that use Marketing Cloud apps such as Email Studio, Automation Studio and Journey Builder
Collaborate with marketing, analytics and technology teams
Execute development and advanced configuration activities within the platform
Identify project risks and present alternatives to alleviate or resolve issues
Validate solution components and provides training for marketing partner when appropriate
Manage email deliverability, database hygiene, subscription management and compliance with global opt-in laws and regulations
Oversee new data in Marketing Cloud and advise on data use for targeting, configuration strategy and reporting
Structure and implement marketing tests to drive optimization (e.g., test creative, copy, audience segments, triggers, etc.)
Analyze data from analytics and assist in implementation improvements to Marketing Cloud performance and deliverability
Involved in usability and accessibility testing for templates
Manage user IDs, log-ins and permissions
What you have:
2+ years’ experience as a Salesforce ExactTarget/Marketing Cloud Technical Admin
Experience working with Marketing Cloud data extensions, queries and AMPScript
Experience documenting customer problems and software solutions using BRDs, wireframes, diagrams, workflows and mockups
Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new analytic systems and deeply evaluate the technical components of a product from a business perspective
Creative problem solver and out of the box thinker who can effectively collaborate with a range of stakeholders throughout a matrixed organization to get those things done
Familiarity with Salesforce.com
Bachelor’s degree required
Associated digital/development experience:
5+ years' experience with developing SQL with a RDBMS such as MySQL, Oracle, or MS SQL Server
2+ years' experience with SOAP APIs, REST APIs and integration techniques
