6+ Years as an IT security professional:

  • Broad knowledge of information technology including networks, Windows/Unix/Linux servers, virtual environments, PCs, Cloud SaaS, and databases

  • Following service management process for threat detection and response

  • Understand security issues associated with operating systems, networking, and virtualization software

  • Ability to understand and demonstrate forensically how attacks are carried out

  • Knowledge of Cyber Kill Chain and Diamond Model approach

  • Understanding on Incident response life cycle

  • Knowledge of threat actor techniques and infiltration methods

  • Creative problem solving during security incidents and alert investigations

  • Knowledge of threat hunting, threat intelligence usage in security environments

  • Proficiency in scripting and programming.

  • Familiarity with security technologies such as Antivirus, Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR), User Behaviour Analytics (UBA), IPS, Firewalls,SIEM etc.

  • Broad knowledge of IT security vendors and products. 

  • In-depth understanding of Security Event Management from a technology/tool and process perspective

  • In-depth understanding of SIEM solution and its application for Threat Monitoring

  • Experience in implementing and configuring point security solutions (SIEM, firewalls, EDR, etc.).

  • Experience in implementation and configuration of point security solutions (SIEM, firewalls, anti-malware etc.) preferred

  • Significant experience with Windows operating systems, knowledge of virtual environments, malware analysis and Advanced Persistent Threat (APT) patterns

  • Good interpersonal and coordination skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Bachelor’s degree Certification Preferred:

One or more of the following:

  • Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)

  • CISSP certification

  • GCIH, GSEC, GREM

  • Institute of Information Security Professionals (IISP) membership
