HP Inc. Tooling Administrator (Jira) in Bangalore, India

HP is looking for a highly capable Tooling Administrator with Jira and Jira Align experience to support our current suite of Atlassian and ALM tools and to help drive an Agile adoption across our Print Software Platform & Solutions organization. The PSPS organization has grown significantly, and we need to evolve the way we work to keep up. This role will be a part of the Agile Coaching Office and will help to architect and roll out the tooling to support the new Agile@Scale processes across a large software organization, covering multiple geographies and technologies.

The Tooling Administrator will be working as part of the Tooling Team to help support the operational needs of our existing Jira users and the migration of new users and projects into our HP Jira primary instance. This role will also work in collaboration with the Coaching/Training team and other organizational stakeholders to help implement our agile strategy and business agility roadmap. They will help to train and educate colleagues on various tools, document best practices, and aid with implementation/usage.

The Tooling Administrator will collaborate with various cross-functional teams to ensure the right tooling solution(s) are considered and evaluated. They will be part of a team that monitors tool usage with the intention to encourage a culture of continuous improvement that facilitates the delivery of valuable technology solutions rapidly, collaboratively, and reliably to the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Gather requirements for business processes and determine ways to optimize/improve Jira Data Center/Jira Align build and configuration.

  • Collaborate with different teams and stakeholders to understand their workflows and requirements.

  • Support JIRA and Jira Align users by offering ongoing support to troubleshoot issues and ensure efficient utilization of tools.

  • Create JIRA projects, workflows, screens, and field configurations.

  • Understanding of JIRA plug-ins, APIs, and webhooks.

  • Utilizes design skills to define JIRA workflows and the related screen schemes and field configuration schemes.

  • Ensure the security and integrity of Jira and Jira Software and tooling instances.

  • Support non-Jira tools such as TestRail and Looker

Knowledge & Skills

  • Knowledge and Experience with Atlassian tools.

  • Experience in Jira Data Center administration and workflows preferred.

  • Experience with Jira Service Manager preferred.

  • Knowledge of Jira Align and other Agile@Scale tools.

  • Knowledge and experience of lean-agile practices.

  • Knowledge of agile frameworks such as SAFe, Kanban, Scrum.

Education & Experience

  • 2+ years technology experience (heavy focus on Atlassian Tooling)

  • Jira Software and Jira Service Management (data center experience preferred)

  • Experience with the following preferred:

  • Jira Misc Workflow Extensions

  • JSU Automation

  • Structure

  • Advanced JQL functions

  • Jira API

  • Jira Automation

  • Jira Align

  • Confluence

  • BI Tooling

  • Proficient in reporting with experience in Looker, ThoughtSpot, and PowerBI, complemented by JQL/SQL skills (a bonus), and a proficiency in LookML (a plus).

  • Atlassian University certifications preferred.
