Delaware North Accounting Manager, Banners Kitchen and Tap in Boston, Massachusetts

The Opportunity

Delaware North is seeking a Controller to join our Accounting team in Boston, Massachusetts at The Hub on the Causeway in support of our Patina Restaurant Group operations. This role will work as Controller at Hub Hall, Momoson, and Banners Kitchen and Tap. As a Controller, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting functions, including maintaining financial records, performing financial reporting, consolidating financial results, analyzing budgets, and processing accounts payable invoice approvals. This role will be on site at Banners Kitchen and Tap.

Pay

Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $78400 - $105800 / year

In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. Only in special circumstances, where a candidate has education, training, or experience that far exceeds the requirements for the position, would we consider paying higher than the stated range. Responsibilities

  • Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes for the designated operating location.

  • Execute strategies and standards related to accounting policy, financial reporting, general ledger maintenance, budgeting, and financial systems and controls.

  • Lead ad hoc analysis of finances and prepare reports to facilitate decision making.

  • Oversee audit requirements and cash management procedures.

  • Ensure the accounting team at the operating location is knowledgeable of policies, procedures, and internal controls.

  • Work closely with Global Business Services to continuously improve hand-offs and transitions of work.

Qualifications

  • 4+years of accounting experience including 2-3 previous supervisory experience in a full service, high volume restaurant, hotel, or other food and beverage/ hospitality unit with a similar capacity and clientele. Multi-unit restaurant controller or accounting management experience preferred.

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or similar is required.

  • Deep understanding of finance and accounting processes.

  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

  • Advanced Excel skills to perform financial analysis and reporting.

  • Experience with food costing, inventory and analysis.

  • Experience with POS systems preferred.
