Senior Manager Channel Management, Bioproduction Group

Based in North America

Position Objective:

The Sr. Channel Manager is part of the Commercial Organization of the BioProduction Group (BPG) representing the NA region, is a member of a cross-functional team responsible for the go-to-market strategy, development, execution, and results across all channels and solution-based customer programs. This role is also responsible for leading a team of OEM account managers and strategy for the OEM business. The Sr. Channel Manager is responsible for the entire BioProduction Portfolio - developing and implementing tactics to achieve financial targets. This position has responsibility for specific Channel(s) growth goals for BPG products and leverages along with the BPG leadership team activities in new product launches, industry segment strategies, key accounts, and field partnership activities. The scope includes establishing and leading processes to support execution with Channel partners. The ability to supervise, analyze, and respond to changes in business performance is fundamental. This position will require an individual that is results oriented, highly motivated to succeed, operates with intensity, has an excellent work ethic, and maintains the highest level of integrity and professionalism.

How will you make an impact?

  • By delivering profitable revenue growth and customer satisfaction via strategic Channel partners for the BPG portfolio.

  • By defining, in close connection with the BPG Leadership team strategies to optimize Strategic Channels product access, marketing focus and sales effectiveness in clearly identified vertical markets, primarily Biotech, Biopharma and Academia.

  • By working with Marketing to advertise our solutions through Strategic Channels, with sales operations to analyze relevant Key Performance Indicators on initiatives to improve performance.

  • By focusing on tactical initiative to drive sales through Channels with tailored tactics in specific geographies

  • By leading the OEM strategy and execution to continue partnerships and grow our OEM customer base.

The position reports to the BPG NA Commercial Sr. Director and works in close collaboration with the North American Regional Commercial Leaders, Technical Sales Leader, Sales Operations, Business Units, and the Marketing team.

What will you do?

  • Responsible for developing and implementing the North American channel strategy, processes, and programs to deliver attainment of revenue, profitability and share gain objectives for BPG

  • Drive overall Channel revenues in NA for BPG portfolio and NPI revenue to meet/exceed annual targets.

  • Demonstrate strong leadership in identifying cross divisional growth opportunities.

  • Reporting regularly and helping the BPG Leaders to forecast our performance.

  • Leading the BPG performance thought regular, concise, and productive business reviews, with special focus on the top growth opportunities.

  • Ensure that the Channel product knowledge is up to date, working with the NA marketing team to provide product trainings and leverage NPI to cultivate the dedication of the Channel account managers.

  • Work closely with BPG commercial teams including regional commercial management, marketing, and Business Units to identify regional and product level initiatives to increase sales of BPG products through channels.

  • Identify innovative and creative ways to protect and gain share in core business along with accelerating performance in fast growing market.

  • Collaborate with leadership to develop and complete the OEM strategy while also owning the OEM account management team.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Comfortable working in a matrix environment, dealing with several partners with differing priorities.

  • Must have people management experience and understanding of OEM business.

  • Must be results oriented and able to work autonomously on projects spanning more than one quarter.

  • Ability to make data driven decisions and to process opinions from different perspectives.

  • Ability to multitask, be organized & be able to prioritize.

  • Strong verbal, presentation, and written communication skills in English.

  • Knowledge of PPI tools is required.

Experience

  • Direct and channel commercial experience in laboratory sciences or related field and/or sales leadership in relevant segments (Biopharma, Biotech, Academia).

  • Experience in working with commercial support functions such as field/regional marketing, sales operations, commercial excellence is a plus.

  • People management experience is preferred but not required.

  • The individual should have a proven track record of driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.

  • Experience of working in a heavily matrixed environment is preferable.

Education:

Ideally degree educated in a Life Sciences subject area.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Massachusetts is $116,300.00–$191,975.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
