Location/Division Specific Information

The Chemical Analysis Division (CAD) provides a diverse mix of analytical instruments and associated services to a broad range of end user markets including Safety & Security, Environmental, Food Safety, Energy, Mining, Life Sciences, and Recycling. Its instruments are deployed in the field and on the line where customers put a premium on adaptability, reliability, and ease of use. They allow them to make decisions where they operate and streamline their businesses. We are a division with a broad product portfolio and diverse customer base.

What you will do:

The EMEA, MCS sales director reports to the Sr. Director, Global Sales (MCS) for the Chemical Analysis Division (CAD) within the Analytical Instruments Group (AIG) and will be an essential leader in driving revenue growth, developing a comprehensive commercial strategy, profitability objectives and achieving sales results by implementing robust forecasting and sales processes, hiring, retaining and developing key talent, establishing and maintaining strong relationships with our customers and channel partners, and working closely with all functions to drive customer value and satisfaction.

  • Manage processes including accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and pricing management. Cultivate utilization of customer relationship management (CRM) tools and marketing leads

  • Manage business budgets appropriately including revenue, margin and operating expenditure

  • Develop and implement short and long-term strategic and operating plans to facilitate revenue growth

  • Develop key account strategy (as applicable) for working with other divisional commercial leaders to drive incremental growth through value proposition and workflow selling solutions

  • Develop and implement Commercialization plans for regional NPI

  • Lead short-mid-long-term initiatives with regional commercial teams to execute product strategy and tactics to achieve growth

  • Partner with Strategic Marketing to develop and/or redeploy marketing campaigns to drive revenue in conjunction with regional commercial teams to support local commercial strategies and markets

  • Communicate as primary contact for VPGMs, BU Teams and Product Leaders

  • Monitor market intelligence including competition, macroeconomics and the regulatory environment, and use is with Product Management to influence/drive new product introduction (NPI) and deliver on incremental revenue targets. Collection of Voice of Customer and Voice of Commercial

  • Identify and Evaluate market opportunities for growth, engaging cross Business Unit to drive business development opportunities for emerging technologies or new market segments.

  • Engages with Global MCS teams to drive execution of strategy and tactics to achieve business objectives.

How you will get here:

Education

  • Bachelors degree in Sciences, Engineering or Business required; MBA preferred

Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years sales and/or commercial related experience

  • Experience in direct/distribution sales and marketing

  • Experience in Product Services

  • Role model sales leader with ability to develop a strong, customer focused and adaptable sales team

  • Results-oriented, highly motivated to succeed, works with intensity and maintains the highest level of integrity and professionalism

  • Demonstrated success working in a matrix environment

  • Proficient in implementing business strategies, forecasting, and providing marketing/competitive feedback and customer satisfaction relative to sales activities

  • Experience with both direct and distribution selling environments is desired

  • A strong background of driving operational excellence and continuous improvement

  • Position requires 35-40% travel
