Robert Half is working with a client that is looking for an experienced candidate capable of fulfilling a dual role of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and IT Application Support. The candidate will be tasked with combining their profound knowledge of GIS and IT solutions to help maintain, develop, implement and support their existing GIS and IT platforms. This is a fulltime direct hire role.

Job Responsibilities:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify, develop and produce spatial data analysis and visualization using GIS tools.

• Maintain and update GIS databases and generate maps for internal and external presentations.

• Troubleshoot issues with our PeopleGIS work order system, Aclara 1 advanced metering system, billing system, WMS, Aquahoc, Acela, ArcGIS, fleet systems, GPS systems.

• Assist in implementing and supporting software solutions, including the functionality of new IT applications and systems.

• Respond promptly to user inquiries and offer technical support for different applications.

• Coordinate training for users to maximize the potential of existing technology and promote best practices for GIS and other application use.

• Regularly evaluate IT applications and software for upgrades and system optimization.

  Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Degree in GIS, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

• Proficient experience with GIS systems including mapping, data analysis, and visualization.

• Extensive experience in IT application support; understanding of system infrastructure, application workflow, and information analysis.

• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and communication skills.

Working Hours:

The expected working hours are 37.5 hours per week with an early dismissal at 12:30 on Fridays. Following the initial six months period of on-site orientation and integration, the role allows two remote working days per week.
