Job Title: Information Assurance Specialist

Location: Chantilly VA

Work Schedule: On-Site (Monday thru Friday EST)

Contract Details: 8 months

Pay Rate : $58.68hr (hard cap)

Candidates: This is a US government contract so candidates must be US Citizen must be able to work W2.

Job Description:

We are seeking an Information Assurance Specialist to support our Chantilly, VA facility.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing systems administration and information assurance support for classified systems.

  • Configuring and validating information system compliance using DISA STIGs, SCC, and STIG Viewer.

  • Initiating and completing Risk Management Framework (RMF) packages for enterprise architectures.

  • Creating and maintaining Assessment and Authorization (A&A) packages, System Security Plans (SSPs), Risk Assessment Reports (RARs), and Plans of Action & Milestones (POA&Ms) for classified systems.

  • Establishing and administering security systems, policies, and procedures in compliance with government and corporate directives.

  • Conducting analysis and assessment of security control guidance and procedures to ensure correct implementation.

  • Identifying, containing, investigating, and reporting data spills to appropriate authorities.

  • Providing technical oversight for system compliance and conducting self-assessments.

  • Interface with Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) and other clients for security inspections and reviews.

Requirements:

  • Must be a US Citizen and eligible to receive a Security Clearance.

  • Five automatic disqualifiers for security clearances:

  • Not being a US citizen.

  • Dishonorable discharge from military service.

  • Current involvement in illegal drug use.

  • Revoked security clearance for security concerns.

  • Judged as mentally incapacitated by a mental health professional.

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as an IT systems administrator.

  • Demonstrated experience as an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO).

  • Proficiency with Windows operating systems, Active Directory, and network systems administration.

  • Experience with NIST 800-53, Risk Management Framework (RMF) accreditations, DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), SCAP Compliance Checker (SCC), and STIG Viewer.

  • DoDD 8140 (8570.1-M) IAT Level 2 certification or ability to obtain within the first 6 months of employment.

  • Ability to travel occasionally for meetings and training (less than 10 percent of time).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Military veteran with relevant IT and computer security experience.

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification.
