Job Description

LRS Consulting Services is seeking a Senior Business Analyst for a remote contract opportunity with our research client in Chicago, IL!

Responsibilities:

  • Work with IT, research teams, business teams, and 3rd party stakeholders to identify and document requirements, and think critically about what will make it successful.

  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand business processes, objectives, and challenges.

  • Leverage product development expertise to contribute innovative ideas and solutions.

  • Write user stories that effectively communicate project requirements and that are easily consumed by software development teams.

  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings and provide project status reporting.

  • Take a hands-on approach to quality assurance to ensure successful implementation of solutions. Assist with testing scenarios and validate results.

  • Create deliverables such as process flows and use case diagrams to effectively communicate design strategies.

  • Work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively

  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in IT, statistics, computer science, mathematics, information management, or a related field preferred

  • Minimum 4 years' experience in Business Analysis, preferably in a product development environment. With at least 6 years' experience in relevant IT application environments.

  • Demonstrated experience defining and documenting business requirements for large, scalable enterprise application projects (preferably from the ground up).

  • Experience in Agile methodologies, including preferably contributing to: sprint planning, sprint grooming, review, demo, stand-up, and retrospective sessions.

  • Excellence in writing articulate user stories and acceptance criteria effectively.

  • Experience collaborating across all phases of product, software, and testing lifecycles.

  • Proficiency in Salesforce is strongly preferred, along with a good understanding of Salesforce data models.

  • Proficiency in whiteboarding/workflow tools is a plus (such as Miro, Figma, Balsamiq, Visio, etc.)

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA) are desirable but not required.

  • Strong investigative, analytical skills, and interpersonal skills

  • Third-party candidates will not be considered.
