JPMorgan Chase Risk Management - Fraud Risk Strategic Analytics - Senior Associate in Columbus, Ohio

As a Fraud Risk Strategic Analytics Senior Associate within Chase's Card portfolio team, you will manage Payment Risk strategy for both Consumer and Small Business sectors. Your responsibilities will include identifying optimization opportunities, formulating value-based strategies to mitigate payment risks, monitoring performance to ensure strategy aligns with expectations, and generating MIS/reports to guide management decisions. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders such as Credit Risk teams, Reward Fraud risk team, Operations, Loss Forecasting team, Legal and Compliance. Working in a fast-paced environment, you will need to respond quickly to emerging issues, manage your time effectively, and pay close attention to detail.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage Payment Risk for Chase Card portfolio (Consumer and Business), from strategy development, execution, monitoring and governance.

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of suspicious fraud behaviors, and drive analytics that provide the granularity needed to identify targeted profile.

  • Implement disciplined approach to testing, project execution and development of robust tracking and performance monitoring capabilities.

  • Keep up with industry trends and bring innovative third party solutions in payment risk after successful prove of concept practice.

  • Demonstrate effective communication across partner teams and at all levels, presenting strategies for approval and obtaining executive buy-in.

  • Assess Payment risk associated with new product / strategy change.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university in a quantitative discipline.

  • 3+ years of experience in a quantitative role.

  • Ability to partner and influence across organizations to deliver new capabilities.

  • Good analytical mindset and Strong problem solving skills.

  • Proficient in performing analytics using SAS or equivalent analytical tool and ability to query large amounts of data using SQL and transform the raw data into actionable management information.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Experience in credit cards or financial services or risk management

  • Working knowledge of detection & mitigation practices for fraud types, such as credit abuse / first party fraud

  • Master's Degree from an accredited college/university in a quantitative discipline.
