Job Summary:

The Senior Fiduciary Trust Officer is responsible for administration and maintenance of personal trust and probate relationships, including proactive communication with clients and their professional advisors, regarding administrative, legal, planning and regulatory matters. This position will have a concentration and focus on specialty fiduciary services, including trust and estate administration, in serving some of our largest and most sophisticated clients.

This position consults with and advises clients regarding planning opportunities as well as changes in laws and regulations affecting their accounts or other personal circumstances. This position will collaborate with other team members to provide consultation services for our client relationships in all markets, when appropriate.

Primary Functions and/or Responsibilities:

Relationship management and administration of personal trust and estate accounts and other assigned accounts, when appropriate, including administration and regular proactive client and adviser communication. Includes daily account administration, in coordination with Private Client Team.

Administer assigned accounts in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and Bank policies, including timely and accurate completion of related documentation.

Develop business and compliance practices relating to the Wealth Management business and coordination, along with engagement with key business partners. Such business and compliance procedures may include, but are not limited to: Serves as a Subject Matter Expert to the Wealth Management team and assists key business partners and Trust Counsel on complex fiduciary relationships and/or prospective relationships, as needed.

Partner with key business partners to assist in estate and trust administration, as needed, with attorney communications, analysis and review, and other more complex administration matters.

Development of new and expanded personal trust and other private client relationships. Develop and maintain professional relationship with referral network of trust and estate attorneys, CPAs and financial advisors. Develop and maintain relationships with a primary focus towards investment management.

Participate in relevant internal working groups and committees, such as, but not limited to: Trust Administrative Committee, Trust Investment Committee, Private Client Services Asset Review and Business Acceptance Committee.

Joint calling with other Personal Trust Officers, Private Bankers, BTC Capital Management, and other Bank staff, as required.

Develops and provides periodic topical training to Wealth Management team members.

*

Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:

*

Four-year college degree in a related field preferred OR an equivalent combination of education and experience

*

College degree required

*

JD degree strongly preferred

*

CTFA strongly preferred

*

At least 6 years of relevant work experience required

Specific Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

*

Extensive knowledge of investment management; and, tax, estate planning concepts /techniques

*

Thorough knowledge of fiduciary management policies and principles

*

Strong knowledge of investment concept

Hiring Salary Range

The hiring range below reflects targeted base salary. Actual compensation will be determined based on the candidate's prior related experience and education and will be finalized at the time of offer. In addition to base salary, most positions are also eligible to participate in our annual bonus program. Select positions may also be eligible to earn incentives and/or commissions. Hiring Salary Range: $98,000 - $129,000
