The EMEA Statutory Centre of Expertise (COE) covers all statutory and audit activities, tax relating to statutory activities, technical accounting and governmental and other reporting. The COE is part of the overall EMEA finance transformation project and is a key enabler for delivering statutory and audit activity across the region. The COE covers all Eaton businesses (currently 5 zones, 50 countries) and divisions.
We are now looking for a number of EMEA Statutory Portfolio Managers who will be the ultimate owner & responsible for delivering the statutory financial statements and audit on a portfolio of entities across several jurisdictions. The roles interacts with many stakeholders including Eaton centralized audit owners, corporate technical accounting, tax, business leaders, zone controllers and EY and other third party auditors.
Your responsibilities will include:
Ultimate owner & responsible for delivering the statutory financial statements and audit on a portfolio of entities across several jurisdictions
Prepare and manage the US & Statutory audit for a portfolio of entities. Support the implementation of standard workbooks & total revenue financial statements
At transition stage responsible for reviewing current workbooks & standardizing adjustments to best practice that will be set out
Directly manage the second location support team that will prepare the standard workbooks & financial statements & will manage and deliver data requests
Responsible for documentation of all processes, preparation of SOPs and standard policies
Work with Eaton centralized audit teams and manage queries, to deliver the financial statements & audit to compliance deadlines
Manage knowledge transfer of second location team and ensure skilled up for holiday & other cover
Identify opportunities for continuous process improvement and centralization in respect of the statutory process
Support projects that are focused on centralizing audit activity, entity and ledger rationalization
Build and maintain excellent relationship on the audit with EY and other third party auditors
Identify and implement technological and digital solutions where possible
Qualifications:
University degree in Finance & Accounting, or relevant field of study
Professional accounting certification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, etc.) is a must
Extensive working experience in Statutory and financial Audit processes
Strong technical accounting skills
Knowledgeable managing a portfolio of legal entities in multinational company
Experience working with 3rd party auditors across regions and countries
Skills:
Change management and process improvement mindset, Lean or Six sigma experience is desired
Proactive and enthusiastic personality with strong influencing skill
