The Senior System Engineer (Mac) would be a part of the Nutanix IT EUC Engineering team. This team is responsible for providing world-class engineering and support to Mac users within the company. They work with technologies such as MacOS, JAMF, and JAMF Pro to maintain and troubleshoot MacOS systems. The team collaborates with other IT functions and business area partners for various projects and operational tasks. They also automate operational processes using scripting and programming languages. Overall, this team is passionate about technology and dedicated to providing a seamless and efficient user experience for Mac users at Nutanix.

Your Role

• Provide world-class engineering and support to Mac users

• Install, monitor, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain MacOS systems

• Develop tactical strategies and procedures for system administration

• Ensure that technologies are updated and compliant with enterprise standards

• Manage system/application environments and operations

• Resolve critical system alerts and perform remediation activities

• Automate operational processes using scripting and programming languages

• Collaborate with IT functions and business area partners for project initiatives

What You Will Bring

• Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field or relevant work experience

• Minimum 3 years of strong MacOS engineering experience

• Experience with JAMF Pro 400 Certification

• Proficiency in scripting and programming languages (Python, AppleScript, .NET, bash scripts, Swift)

• Knowledge of Apple Enterprise Business Manager

• Familiarity with Agile methodology

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

How We Work

• Our team at Nutanix operates globally and works in a Hybrid role, allowing us to collaborate effectively across different time zones and regions.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $ 97,120 and USD $ 192,960 per year.

However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
