Jennie Joiner with Robert Half is offering an exciting opportunity for a Director of Finance to join our client's team in Springfield, Oregon. The selected candidate will lead a team of three overseeing all budgeting, fund and grant accounting as well as financial reporting. The Finance Director will be responsible for all financial management, accounting, and budgeting functions. This role involves collaboration with key management staff and will be a pivotal part of the leadership team. Responsibilities:

• Oversee the development of financial procedures and direct their implementation

• Manage all financial and accounting activities as part of the management team

• Prepare current financial reports and provide historical financial information to assist with financial decisions

• Conduct and report conclusions of financial analyses and prepare reports on financial issues

• Assist with strategic planning and overall organization and program budgeting

• Establish systems for financial controls and ensure fiscal integrity through compliance with generally accepted accounting and budgeting principles

• Monitor federal funds to determine when Single Audit requirements will be necessary to implement

• Prepare financial reports for granting agencies, including monthly and quarterly financial reporting for current grants and as needed for grant applications

• Prepare budget and actual comparison reports for program directors, supervisors, and board of directors

• Assist program directors and supervisors with the preparation of their annual program budgets

• Monitor the adopted budget to provide ongoing budget assistance to program directors and supervisors

• Investigate and report significant variances with budget comparisons to actual

• Develop and prepare budgets for grant applications

• Maintain aptitude in Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, Accounting Functions, Auditing, Budget Processes, Cash Flow Analysis, Fund Accounting, Fund Accounting - Non-Profit, Grant Accounting, Budgeting, Financial Statement, Financial Statement Preparation, Financial Reporting, Microsoft Excel, Financial Analysis.

Requirements • Must have a comprehensive understanding of Accounting Software Systems

• Proficiency in ADP - Financial Services is required

• Must be able to oversee all Accounting Functions within the organization

• Must have experience in Auditing

• Should be able to manage and oversee Budget Processes

• Proficiency in Cash Flow Analysis is essential

• Must have experience in Fund Accounting

• Experience with Fund Accounting in a Non-Profit setting is desirable

• Grant Accounting skills are necessary

• Must have a strong ability in Budgeting

• Should be able to prepare and analyze Financial Statements

• Must have experience in Financial Statement Preparation

• Should be able to manage and oversee all Financial Reporting

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required

• Must have strong skills in Financial Analysis

• Previous experience in a VP/Director of Finance role is desirable
