Summary/Objective: The Facilities/Maintenance Manager is responsible for coordinating, scheduling, and prioritizing the maintenance workflow of all jobs, projects, and maintenance through the entire manufacturing facility including but not limited to new construction, remodel work, electrical, plumbing, air handling/pneumatic system, HVAC, CCTV, alarm system, access control system, and the servicing of CNC mills, lathe machines, manual machines, and inspection equipment.

Essential Functions:

  • Works closely with all Manufacturing Leads, Planner, and Management on prioritizing and scheduling Machine maintenance and building projects.
  • Schedules outside venders to come in for maintenance and or building projects.
  • Manages monthly maintenance of facility.
  • Manages yearly preventive maintenance schedule of CNC machines to comply with AS9100
  • Reviews daily/monthly facility and machine operator needs.
  • Reports Monthly updated spreadsheet on progress of preventative maintenance schedule to production manager.
  • Works closely with the production department on planning of preventative maintenance of CNC machines to fit into the production schedule.
  • Works closely with upper management in the planning of new construction and remodel work.
  • Communicates daily progress on projects and maintenance to the production manager.
  • Follows safety guidelines while executing building and or maintenance set by the company.
  • Enforces safety guidelines within the maintenance and custodial departments.
  • Provides recommendations to improve facility functionality, costs and machine performance.
  • Provides solutions to all issues pertaining to Building Maintenance and machinery.
  • Provides a level of cleanliness while executing a job / maintenance service.
  • Responsible for holding the people in Maintenance / Custodial to a level of cleanliness.
  • Member of Safety Committee
  • Trains and certifies employees on forklift safety
  • Miscellaneous responsibilities as deemed appropriate.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position supervises the Maintenance Dept., and Custodial Dept.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Two years experience in project management.
  • Two years lead / supervisory experience.
  • Two years experience in Commercial building maintenance.
  • Two years experience in equipment / machinery maintenance.
  • Ability to perform the basic operation of a fork truck.
  • High school diploma / GED.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand for long periods of time; walk; use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

This position requires the ability to lift products and supplies, up to 50 pounds. May be subject to atmospheric conditions such as fumes, odors and dust.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time non-exempt position, and minimum hours of work and days are Monday throug Friday, 5:30am-2:00pm. Occasionally additional hours may be required on weekends and nights as workload and unforeseen emergencies dictate.
