The Department of General Services (DGS), Warehouse and Distribution division, is looking for Equipment Operator As to provide outstanding delivery and warehouse services to our customer agencies. DESCRIPTION OF WORK As an Equipment Operator A, you will utilize your organizational and logistical abilities to provide various services to agencies throughout the Commonwealth. You will be responsible for using a cargo van or 24-foot box truck to provide transportation and delivery services to numerous Commonwealth agencies, as well as private entities and public individuals. Additional warehouse functions include loading and unloading trucks and fulfilling orders using powered industrial vehicles such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks. It is essential to maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times. We are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as you will be representing our organization and interfacing directly with our customers on a regular basis.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Salary:Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $34,621.00. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Six months experience in the operation and maintenance of large vans, buses and single-chassis trucks with a gross vehicle weight of 10,001 pounds or more; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training Special Requirements: You must possess a valid Class C Pennsylvania driver's license. Additional Requirements: You must possess warehouse experience. You must possess experience operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks and/or a willingness to train and certify. You must possess experience with the operation of a large box truck with a gross vehicle weight of more than 10,000 lbs. but less than 26,000 lbs. You must be able to perform essential job functions.
