The department of Supply Chain has an exciting opportunity for a Full Time Manager, Supply Chain Analytics to work at UHealth. The University of Miami enterprise-wide Manager, Supply Chain Analytics will be responsible for leading a team of analyst in their efforts to identify, analyze and implement process improvements within our complex supply chain operations supporting both the University of Miami School and Health System. This role will be responsible for ensuring the analysts stay on track to meet their deadlines, set priorities, accordingly, identify and remove obstacles and report project updates to leadership. This role provides technical and organizational guidance in the delivery of data and analytics, working with internal stakeholders to improve and automate processes and information systems used to serve the University and to drive supply expense savings. Additionally, the incumbent performs in-depth evaluations of all requested financial and operational data to make business recommendations that help further the University’s goals and objectives.

  • Maintains current knowledge of industry trends in data science, data analytics, new technology and tools used to optimize reporting.

  • Makes recommendations in support of leadership and strategic vision, through transformation of business intelligence into action plans for Supply Chain Services improvements.

  • Tracks and trends implemented initiatives performance. Highlight variances between expected savings targets and realized savings.

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the supply chain analytics team.

  • Participate in the Value Analysis Committees .

  • Work with Logistics, MMIS, Procurement, Sourcing, Value Analysis, Clinical Engineering, and Asset Management teams to identify opportunities and lead improvement efforts.

  • Manage the development and process improvement implementation strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, reduce waste, and increase overall supply chain performance.

  • Mentor and guide team of analysts, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the supply chain analytics team.

  • Identify opportunities and lead the supply chain analytics sub-department in implementing and automating processes by using programing language to merge data sources, create optimal visuals and report to leadership notable trends to be able to make data driven decisions.

  • Drive the adoption of innovative technologies and solutions to enhance automation and efficiency of supply chain processes.

  • Recommend measures and methodologies to manage the supply chain pipeline, dashboards, and leadership reports.

  • Investigates variances between expected savings targets versus realized savings.

  • Track and trend implemented initiatives performance.

  • Guides the analytics team in creating dashboards to display data for supply chain operations.

  • Cultivates and maintains strong partnerships with key supply chain stakeholders inside-and-outside of the department.

  • Serve as subject matter expert for all supply chain data systems and processes.

  • Collaborate with IT teams to leverage technology solutions that streamline and automate supply chain processes.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in business administration, industrial engineering, information management, business analytics, mathematics, statistics, healthcare administration, computer science, data science or equivalent.

  • Master’s degree preferred.

  • Six Sigma or Project Management Certification – Preferred

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience

Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:

  • Skill in collecting, organizing, and analyzing data.

  • Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems.

  • Knowledge of Supply Chain concepts, tools, and methodologies.

  • Experience utilizing tools such MS Office Suite, SQL Server, etc.

  • Experience utilizing Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI and Tableau, etc.

  • Experience utilizing project management tools such as Smartsheet, MS Project, etc.

Any relevant education, certifications and/or work experience may be considered.
