Description We are in the market for a Systems Security Administrator in the transport industry, based in Houston, Texas. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity. The chosen individual will be responsible for maintaining the security of our IT systems, utilizing their skills in MS Office 365, Windows Defender, SIEM Tools, and Network Vulnerability.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize Microsoft Security Stack in O365 E5 Security products or Sentinel One to swiftly analyze, contain and remediate security threats.

• Use vulnerability management software such as Rapid7 or Tenable to manage and tune the platform.

• Communicate effectively with team members to overcome challenges with patch management cycles.

• Use Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems and SIEM to investigate suspicious activity and perform threat hunting.

• Demonstrate a solid understanding of MSFT Windows Environment, networking, the concept of Firewall, and Security Architecture.

• Install security software and perform regular maintenance.

• Implement security policies.

• Have some experience with DevSecOps, for instance, Github, DAST, SAST tools.

• Be prepared to work some after-hours and weekends to respond to security incidents in a timely and effective manner. Requirements • Proficient in MS Office 365

• Comprehensive understanding of Windows Defender

• Experience in using SIEM Tools

• Knowledge of Network Vulnerability

• Proven experience in a Systems Security Administrator role within the Transport industry

• Strong problem-solving abilities

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to work well in a team environment

• Detail-oriented nature with strong organizational skills

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

• Possess a proactive approach towards improving system security

• Must have a commitment to continuous learning and development in the area of system security
