Communication construction ground hand

Overview

Ground hands work daily with a small team to construct, deconstruct, and repair fiber-optic cable systems in a variety of commercial and residential terrain/weather.

Requirements

• Reliable hard-working individual capable of working alone and alongside a team

• Valid state driver's license

• CDL preferred, but not required

• Work in a variety of terrain and weather conditions

• Carry up to 80lbs.

General daily work

• Assist Lineman with completing each span of fiber-optic cable utilizing a variety of techniques and procedures.

• Place safety cones and signage (IAC) with state, county, local and company guidelines

• Set and place ground rods, down-guy anchors (IAC) with blueprint

• Work with a variety of hand tools, twenty foot fiberglass Ladders, and specific communication construction equipment.
