Doxim Machine Operator in Indianapolis, Indiana

Position Summary: Primarily responsible for providing superior value, while producing quality products that satisfy the needs and expectations of our customer base and other interested parties.
Essential Position Responsibilities:
Regular attendance is an essential function of this job
Interpret internal job packet instructions
Pull and prepare stock for the production operation
Pick-up and prepare mail for delivery to USPS
Transport materials from building to building
Loading and unloading of materials at the machine
Loading and unloading of materials from trucks
Janitorial and general building maintenance as needed
Operating of auxiliary software and tracking tools
Maintain quality standards based on the company’s Quality Management System
All other duties as assigned
Essential skills and experience:
Ability to read small print
Ability to read, write and interpret the English language (customer data, instructions, manuals and procedures)
Basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply and divide
Ability to understand and interpret instructions, oral and/or written
Must have a valid chauffers’ driver’s license at all times
Ability to pass in-house certification training for the operation of the equipment annually.
Education and experience:
High School Diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Reporting to this position: No direct reports
Physical demands and work environment: The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job, for eight (8) hours per day and at least five (5) days per week. Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use both hands and fingers to handle loading, unloading and operating of the equipment. The employee is required to stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee may be required to sit occasionally. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 55 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision (ability to read small print), peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Work environment: While performing the duties of the job, the employee is exposed to the following:
Moving Mechanical Parts
Cleaning fluids & solvents
Oil for lubrication of machine
Paper dust
Moderate to high noise level which may require hearing protection
