Schedule Weekly Hours:16 We are hiring for a Child Care Kitchen Tech to join our vibrant Child Care Team. This is your opportunity to provide both customer service and effective engagement to the children/families we serve while doing the work you love in the beautiful coulee region of La Crosse, Wisconsin. This position is responsible for a variety of daily operational activities at the center. This includes facilitating the set-up and clean-up of snacks and meals for children at the center, as well as varied cleaning activities throughout the day. What you need: High School Diploma or equivalency CPR Certification **Trainings provided through Gundersen** Serve Safe and Mandated Reporter Job Description: The technician is responsible for a variety of daily operational activities at the center. This includes facilitating the set-up and clean-up of snacks and meals for children at the center, as well as varied cleaning activities throughout the day. Major Responsibilities: 1. Follow State Licensing rules and regulations regarding food preparation and serving to children 2. Set-up food insuring appropriate portion sizes of food to children 3. Ensure all areas are clean and organized before, during, and after snacks and meals 4. Serve, or assist in serving 5. Store, wrap and properly label any leftover food 6. Work cooperatively with staff members 7.Participate in training 8. May assist in ordering food and preparing meal plans 9. Other duties as assigned Education and Learning: REQUIRED High school or equivalency DESIRED Post high school education in a specialized field Work Experience: REQUIRED No experience required DESIRED 6 month of customer service experience or experience working with children Age Specific Population: Neonatal Pediatric Osha Category: Category 3 - Employees in this job title have no reasonably anticipated risk of occupational exposure to blood and/or other potentially infectious materials.
