North Spring Behavioral Healthcare, Inc. is a multifaceted behavioral healthcare system comprised of three programs to serve children and adolescents with a broad spectrum of psychiatric service needs. Programs of service include an 87-bed, Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services licensed, Joint Commission accredited psychiatric residential treatment facility, a Partial Hospitalization Program, and a 40-bed acute psychiatric hospital. Our school, North Spring Academy is currently welcoming a part time (24 hours/week) Special Education Teacher to join our team. The curriculum content focus will vary depending upon student needs. Educational services include assessments, instruction, classroom management, documentation, consultation, IEP/IPP report writing, resident supervision and administrative building assignments.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree with a preference for those with an educational background

• Preference given for LD and/or ED endorsement

• While a current Virginia teaching license is preferred, North Spring will assist candidates with the coursework necessary for a provisional teaching license.

• Good computer skills are required

• Experience with youth in a residential setting is preferred

• Must be 21 years of age

• Subject to a criminal background check and drug screen
