Our Opportunity:

Schwab Stock Plan Services (SPS) provides a variety of solutions to large, publically traded companies for the administration of their Equity Compensation plans, including stock options, restricted stock, and employee stock purchase programs. SPS offers solutions for the administration of these plans up to and including full outsourcing capabilities for the recordkeeping and employee services. Specifically, the SPS Classic Client Services team plays a vital role in the delivery of our services. The SPS Client Service Team is responsible for the day to day interaction between Schwab and our corporate clients, ensuring all aspects of their plans are running smoothly. Client Services provides training and guidance to our corporate clients on how to most efficiently utilize Schwab’s tools and services in addition to assisting our clients’ trouble shoot issues by researching items and presenting solutions. This includes partnering with other teams within SPS to ensure a consistent client experience from implementation through to ongoing administration of the plan. The Classic Client Services team is expected to partner with SPS Sales, Education, Product Management and Conversion to ensure a consistent and quality experience for our corporate clients and their employees.

What you’ll do:

As a Client Service manager on the Classic Client Services Team in SPS you will manage between 8-12 core and mid-tier clients based on their size, value and specific needs. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Serve as primary daily point of contact for clients with the ability to answer questions regarding equity compensation services

  • Lead planning sessions to ensure flawless execution of significant client events, including large institutional trades and share deposits that can exceed $100MM+ in value. Some events may include multiple points of complexity and after-hours support

  • Manage additional clients and serve as a back-up client service manager for plans when required

  • Partner with administration partner to ensure daily processing activities for assigned companies including the on-time processing of lapse sales and settlement of stock activity

  • Foster client satisfaction by implementing standardization of exceptions processing and leveraging automated system functionality

  • Work with administration partner to provide point of contact on high value transactions, including executive transactions for c-suite executives

  • Participate in client service review meetings via web-ex with assigned clients, travel by exception only

  • Recognize opportunities for improvement and growth with our corporate clients through regular consultative conversations

  • Properly document processes and procedures on a regular basis and perform maintenance as needed to ensure procedures are always accurate

  • Provide daily processing support as needed

  • Participate in enhancement and regression testing for SPS Product Management

  • Provide training and expertise around Schwab system functionality and capabilities to our corporate clients, enhancing their experience with Schwab

  • Provide virtual and telephone support for the SPS Sales team as needed (RFP and RFI response review)

What you have:

  • 3+ years of brokerage, financial or accounting experience within a corporate or brokerage environment

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent business experience

  • Proficiency in Excel and other MS Office Products and applications is required to perform daily functions

  • Proven working knowledge of stock options, employee stock purchase plans, dividend equivalent rights, and equity compensation is preferred

  • Strong organizational skills with ability to work on multiple assignments and complete them within established deadlines

  • Client service and customer service background is required with a strong emphasis in verbal and written communication skills including a high level of professionalism and problem solving

  • Positive attitude, enthusiasm, professionalism and strong work ethic with high level of integrity and ethics

  • Ability to prioritize effectively in a fast paced environment and function in a professional manner under pressure
