Our Opportunity:

Clearing Operations holds $180 billion dollars in Mutual Fund assets and continues to be a growing business. The Mutual Fund Trading Clearing Specialist must have the ability to maintain a good working relationship with our clearing clients, internal/external business partners, transfer agents and fund companies. A successful candidate will maintain positive relationships with multiple Schwab Clearing vendors and clients along with internal/external business partners.

What you’ll do:

The successfully Trading Clearing Specialist will maintain a good working relationship with our clearing clients, internal/external business partners, transfer agents and fund companies. The individual is technically proficient (especially with Microsoft Excel) and deals effectively with client issues and risk mitigation. The Trading Clearing Specialist will use multiple systems within the department and meet multiple deadlines throughout the day.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Monitor and work with clearing clients on processing trade uploads, rejects, and trade/dividend related questions in a fast paced customer service environment.

  • Research and resolve out of balances between Schwab, Fund companies, and Clearing Correspondents using various systems.

  • Accurately process manual trade request under strict time constraints.

What you have:

Required Skills:

  • Intermediate computer skills including Outlook, Excel and Word

  • Strong analytical, research, data entry and prioritization skills

  • Prior experience providing top notch customer service to clients

Preferred skills:

  • 3 years minimum experience in the securities, brokerage or financial services industry or equivalent (banking or customer service)

  • BA or BS preferred

  • Series 7 & 63 preferred

Competencies:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Detailed Orientated

  • Ability to maintain accuracy while processing large volumes of work under strict time constraints.

  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
