This is a Technology Operations role based in Lone Tree, CO on the Production Management team in CSIM Technology.
What you’ll do:
This is a Sr. Database support role within the Production Management team for CSIM. Responsible for maintaining the production and pre-production servers including environment management and upgrading as required. Will ensure backed ups are scheduled, monitored, capacity is monitored and addressed and that the server data is secure from unauthorized access. May also produce and create reports, charts, manuals proposals and perform light programming (scripting).
What you have:
For this role, you must be able to plan, coordinate and implement software version changes and use utility tools to monitor elements of the system, such as memory, central processing unit (CPU) and program errors generated from a system or software problem. Must also have knowledge in systems design and configuration. Strong verbal and written communication skills is required.
Knowledge of Information Technology processes, standards, techniques, best practices, and the SDLC
Deep knowledge of ETL processes, standards, techniques, and best practices (experience with Informatica is a plus)
Analyze and integrate disparate data and systems using ETL processes and logic to provide timely and accurate information to our business partners
Comply with team and department standards, policies, and procedures
Participate in modernization projects to upgrade or replace older solutions
Understand business users and translate user specifications into technical designs
Analyze data models and raw data to develop ETL solutions
Creates complex solutions using SQL stack tools to meet business requirements
Reverse engineer and document legacy systems as needed for enhancements and to support business analysts
Manages code and deployment scripts utilizing Team Foundation Server
Provide team based operational On Call support on a scheduled rotating basis
Provide tier 3 technical support for non-production and production issues including production troubleshooting, query tuning, and process optimization
Provide problem-solving, code review, risk assessment, and security recommendations
Participate in the release lifecycle and deployment processes
Provide support for basic DBA duties, backups and restores, environment refreshes, database maintenance, and security tasks, most of which are automated.
6-10 years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server technologies (SSMS, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS a plus)
Solid working experience with the following core technologies: SQL Server 2008 R2/2012, Visual Studio 2010/2012, SSIS, SSRS, Team Foundation Server or other source control systems, basic Active Directory security understanding
Solid working experience in T-SQL, performance tuning, production support and troubleshooting
Team player who openly shares knowledge and experience within the team
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Desirable Skills: C#, technical documentation, Jira, DevOps and CI/CD concepts
Modern OS Administration knowledge
Basic Networking knowledge
Active Directory knowledge and use
