Our Opportunity:

This is a Manager position within Charles Schwab Investment Management (CSIM) Technology reporting directly to the Managing Director of Production Management. Individual will have the responsibility of providing day to day oversight and direct management to a team of Systems Integrators. The individual will play a key role in projects that deliver business solutions for the Investment Management team.

What you’ll do:

This is a Manager role based in Denver, Colorado on the CSIM Technology Production Management team. The role involves leading and managing a team of Systems Integrators to support the dynamic project needs of the CSIM business and adhere to the overall application modernization strategy. This role includes building a strategy for ensuring applications meet the overall goals of the technology organization to include maintenance activities and technology upgrades (computer systems, server management including installing, maintaining and upgrading the servers). Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and work closely with relevant teams to architect solutions for long term scalability of the production environment.

This role requires a highly motivated, organized, very detail oriented multi-disciplinary technologist. Successful candidates will have a proven record of managing a technical team for an investment management organization.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • A university degree from a well-respected academic institution; Computer Science, and/or other professional certifications

  • At least 7 years’ experience managing and leading a team of technical resources in multiple locations

  • 8+ years experience supporting Microsoft technology stack, .NET, SQLServer, Windows, SharePoint, IIS, etc.

  • 8+ years working knowledge of Active Directory and related capabilities, including integrating with SSO technologies, policy management, etc

  • 8+ years experience integrating 3rd party internal and external applications.

  • 8+ years experience providing direct support of environmental systems components, including networking, virtualization technologies, enterprise level infrastructure management, web services, queuing mechanisms; mobile integration

  • Strong ability to research issues and define root cause needed to permanently remediate known incidents.

  • Prior financial services experience with an Investment Management firm is a plus

  • Good understanding of business applications processes and criticality, ability to logically de-componentize applications and system platforms in troubleshooting / diagnostic situations
