What you’ll do:

BPS is seeking an experienced Team Manager to lead a team of 9 individuals within Clearing Operations. The Team Manager will oversee the Clearing Conversion, Share Aging and Reconciliation Team within Mutual Fund Clearing Operations. This unique team provides specialized support to over 20 different Clearing Clients in the financial industry, in addition to Schwab’s Mutual Fund load and no load business.

This individual will be responsible for employee development, training, system testing and enhancements as well as managing relationships with multiple Schwab Clearing vendors, clients and internal business partners. The Team Manager will be a point of escalation for team issues, assist in documenting and reviewing operational procedures and perform supervisory oversight roles. The ideal individual will have an understanding of Clearing Subaccounting systems and overall Clearing Operations.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Be the voice of Schwab for new and existing client events

  • Researching and resolving escalations from Fund Partners and Clearing Client

  • Tracking and monitoring functional volumes and trends

  • Independently running new efforts for process improvements and enhancements

  • Oversee and support team members in their day-to-day and overall development

What you have:

  • 5 years of back office/operations financial industry experience required

  • Strong leadership, motivational, and coaching skills with ability to drive results and develop employees

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Proven experience collaborating across business units, improving productivity through process improvements and/or system enhancements

  • Complex problem solving skills

  • Strong analytical, research, data entry and prioritization skills

  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills

  • Excellent client service skills

  • BA or BS preferred

  • Series 7 & 63 is preferred
