JOB OVERVIEW

Mars Petcare’s Science & Diagnostics Division is looking for someone to join our global Corporate Affairs team to help us engage, educate and inspire our audiences as we transform our veterinary diagnostics business. The Meeting & Events Manager will support the global Science & Diagnostics division to meet the growing internal and external engagement demands of the business by planning, executing, and optimizing a range of meeting and event structures for internal and external meetings.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan and organize meetings, events withlogistics and project management support.

  • Where the engagement is part of a wider sustained campaign or standard meeting (national sales meetings, Tech Comm meetings, Board meetings, Town Halls), media or stakeholder engagementhelp support delivery of content (original text, images, animated GIFs, video, etc.) that can be shared through a variety of channels–PowerPoint presentations, intranet, external websites, social media, email, etc.

  • Understand the user experience to ensure event format is appropriate for the intended audience

  • Identify and recommend appropriateand settings/locations/agendas working with the business leaders and teams

  • Ensure consistency across regions and countries in terms of venues, agendas, budgets for different internal and external meetings. Work with procurement and Mars meetings team to define external partners for venues, meeting support etc.

  • Able to work effectively cross-functionally and in partnership with regional marketing teams as needed to align meeting and events priorities, bring alignment across regions and different teams.

  • Other assigned duties and responsibilities as needed.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in relevant field.

  • Minimum 7 years working experience in communications, event management, publicity in a communications or marketing function or similar.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Excellent project management skills

  • Experience planning in-person and virtual events, preferably with global participantsas well as country/regional/local event and meeting management.

  • Great multitasker, capable of simultaneously managing multiple projects with different deadlines.

  • Related to external events and senior executive meetings, must have experience working with media, key opinion leaders, senior executives.

  • Needs to have an understanding of managing events/meetings to achieve business goals.

  • Content development, PPT, graphic design and video production & editing skills.

  • Excellent writing and communication skills.

  • Great at developing new relationships; ability to work with different levels of management and across regions, countries.

  • Quick to learn, highly detail-oriented and hardworking.

  • Ability to be agile and flexible with changing needs of the business and team.

  • Passionate about pets and the value they bring to our lives.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This position is based out of our HUB locations including:

New York, New York, Loveland, Colorado or Fountain Valley, California

The employee will primarily work in a typical office environment including use of cubicles, computers and overhead lighting. Temperature extremes will be minimal to nonexistent.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee will be required to use a computer, spreadsheets, data base management, email, and the Internet. The employee is frequently required to use a calculator, fax, copy machine, and phone system.

The Target Pay Range for this position is $76,700 - $100,000 annually. At Antech, pay decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, education, training and budget.
