GDIT is looking for a Digital Transformation Team (DTT) Systems Integration Engineer to design, test, and integrate solutions for activities and projects for the USCENTCOM Information Technology Services (CITS) Program supporting the USCENTCOM J6 in Tampa, FL.

Duties and Responsibilities: As a Systems Integration Engineer for the CITS Program you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and testing solutions that align to projects and initiatives. Leveraging your expertise in systems architecture and integration methodologies, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful deployment and operation of solutions. Participate in baseline image creation, IAVA testing, software/hardware testing, cyber security engineering, system engineering, test and integration, and new technology assessments. Provides subject matter expertise on improving theater and HQ enterprise network operational capabilities in support of the USCENTCOM Commander’s highest priorities though implementation of disciplined program, project, and engineering processes. Additionally, designs and delivers IT engineering projects, initiatives, and processes in conformance with the organization's established policies, procedures, and objectives.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand system requirements and design integrated solutions that meet functional and performance objectives.

  • Develop integration plans and strategies, outlining the sequence of tasks and dependencies required to integrate various components effectively.

  • Configure and customize software applications and middleware to facilitate seamless communication and data exchange between disparate systems.

  • Collaborate with software developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to implement integration interfaces and APIs.

  • Conduct thorough testing and validation of integrated systems, identifying and resolving any issues or discrepancies in functionality or performance.

  • Document integration processes, including configuration settings, data mappings, and troubleshooting procedures.

  • Provide technical support and assistance during the deployment and post-deployment phases, addressing any integration-related issues or concerns.

  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends in systems integration, evaluating their potential impact on our integration strategies and recommending adoption where appropriate.

  • Participate in cross-functional meetings and workshops to share knowledge and best practices related to systems integration.

  • Work with the CSI Lead and evaluate impacts of recommended initiatives and projects and drive delivery of advanced ITSM processes and tooling solutions that meet the customers use cases

  • Directly support teams with unique Service Delivery related strategy and design, and partner with the operations team to bring designed capabilities online and deployed across the environment

  • Support the development of status work products, to include briefing materials that showcase accurate service delivery metrics and team performance to mission outcomes

  • Maintain key customer relationships to support strategic tech insertion and lifecycle replacement of IT hardware for the entire IT Enterprise.

Education and/or Certifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a focus in computer science, engineering, or a related field of study and at least 8 years of experience

  • Applicable DoD 8140 or DoD 8570 Certification

Desired:

  • Master’s Degree with a focus in computer science, engineering, or a related field of study

  • ITIL 4 Foundation Certification
