Do you have what it takes to be a Security Consultant with one of the largest Security Consulting and Systems Integration organisations in the market? Our IBM Security team are looking for a motivated Security Specialist or recent graduate to join the team as a Security Consultant.

The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in Security, and a good knowledge and experience with software tools such as Java, Python, C/C++, Java, Ruby, GO, Golang or bash, C#.

Please note that Australian Citizenship is a requirement for this role, as this is essential for our client base along with the ability to obtain NV1 clearance.

What work will I be doing?

• Project delivery of IBM Security products to clients across government, financial services, retail and other industries

• You'll be an important part of an advisory team for all security measures necessary to protect client's intellectual property and assets

• Opportunities to shadow Senior Security consultants

• Identity and access management

• Application and network security

What skills will I need?

• Possesses strong communication and problem-solving skills, a high degree of drive and energy

• Works well with diverse and dynamic teams, comfortable working autonomously

• Thrives in a fast-paced dynamic environment and manage time effectively

• Outcome focused, possessing a high level of resilience, you demonstrate the flexibility and resolve needed to achieve success a across a broad range of consultative contexts

• Familiarity with network design, network security, authentication, authorization techniques, and encryption protocols and standards.

• Experience in one or more of the following security domains: Security Intelligence & Operations Consulting (SIOC); Data Security; Identity & Access Management, Infrastructure and Endpoint Security (IES), and/or Security Strategy Risk and Compliance (SSRC).

• Dedicated to client success

• Proactive in challenging the validity of given procedures and processes with the intent to enhance and improve

• Confident with strong interpersonal skills

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Strong interest in Cyber Security

• Computer Science, IT or related degree background is preferable.

• Understanding of Cyber Security discipline

• Knowledge of Threat Management procedures and best practices

• Understanding of Information Security Governance Risk and Compliance

• Understanding of the governance aspects of Information System projects and programs

• Knowledge in Network Design and Security, Web or Custom Application Development, Mobile Development, Software Engineering, Identity and Authentication Technology.
