AT&T Professional- Big Data Software Engineer in Middletown, New Jersey

JOB TITLE: Professional- Big Data Software Engineer

JOB LOCATION: 200 S. Laurel Ave. Middletown, NJ 07748

DUTIES: Responsible for the development of high performance and distributed computing tasks using Big Data technologies including Hadoop, NoSQL, text mining, and other distributed environment technologies. Support RAN, Customer Care, Legal Demands, and Mobility business partners by enabling RAN augmentation, IP analytics, billing optimization, StreamSaver analytics, and network planning use cases. Perform Hadoop, Apache NiFi, and UNIX implementation and administration. Automate infrastructure using CICD and Ansible. Set up secure vnets and core infrastructure components in Azure. Analyze, design, program, debug, and modify software enhancements and new products used in analytics and visualization solutions. Interact with data scientists and industry experts to understand how data needs to be converted, loaded, and presented. Maintain the network insights Flowlogic Hadoop cluster that collects mobile packet data through network probes. Address and support Unix level issues for various in house and offshore teams. Utilize JVM based function languages including Scala and Clojure. Use Hadoop query languages including Pig, Hive, Scalding, Cascalog, and PyCascading. Work with HDFS based computing frameworks including Spark and STORM. Apply knowledge of Azure DEVOps, Grafana, and Azure security engineering.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Systems and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience in a related occupation performing Hadoop, Apache NiFi, and UNIX implementation and administration; automating infrastructure using CICD and Ansible; setting up secure vnets and core infrastructure components in Azure; addressing and supporting Unix level issues for various in house and offshore teams; utilizing JVM based function languages including Scala and Clojure; using Hadoop query languages including Pig, Hive, Scalding, Cascalog, and PyCascading; working with HDFS based computing frameworks including Spark and STORM; and applying knowledge of Azure DEVOps, Grafana, and Azure security engineering.
