University Services Finance oversees all financial activities within University Services, a division of the University of Minnesota responsible for campus operations, including Facilities Management, Capital Project Management, Health and Safety, Planning, Space and Real Estate, Public Safety, and Auxiliary Services. The finance department is responsible for rate development, capital budgeting, accounts payable/receivable, general budgeting, payroll, financial analysis and reporting, legislative reporting, utility accounting (including purchasing strategy, billing, and rate development), project accounting, debt compliance and general problem solving. This position supports Parking & Transportation Services (PTS), a self-supporting unit of the University of Minnesota within Auxiliary Services. The department is responsible for the administration, operation and maintenance of reliable and efficient transportation services on the Twin Cities campus including transit, parking, Fleet, streets, walkways and way-finding. Fleet Services is a division of Parking and Transportation Services (PTS) and considered an Internal Sales Organization (ISO). Fleet Services handles compliance documentation for over 1,300 University vehicles or licensed equipment and administers the fuel credit card, vehicle insurance and safety. Responsibilities 70% - Cash Receipt Collection/Processing (for parking facilities and parking meters) * Driving University vehicle to various parking facilities to collect cash on a regular basis * Count and reconcile cash deposits in PTS custom Cash & Ticket Control database * Prepare bank deposits in PeopleSoft EFS * Maintain and balance the vault * Prepare change funds, as needed 25% - Customer Service * Respond to Pay Station issues in a timely manner * Treat colleagues and department employees fairly, respectfully and professionally * Provide customer service, as needed 5% - Other Duties as Assigned * Assist with miscellaneous tasks as assigned Work Environment The position requires work to be performed in both an office and field environment.
