In particular, we are interested in understanding the mechanisms underlying protein misfolding, extracellular vesicles and propagation of disease in neurodegeneration. We use iPSC from patients with Alzheimer's Disease and other types of neurodegenerative diseases as our model system, in addition to genetically modified mice. The post-doctoral fellow will use multi-pronged approach including biochemistry, CRISPR genetic editing, gene expression analysis, mouse genetics, proteomics and imaging. The ideal candidate will have experience in cell culture, rodents, biochemical, molecular and cellular biological techniques in neuroscience or stem cell biology.
