Role Definition:

  • As a Dynatrace Administrator you will oversee the Dynatrace monitoring and logging platform with monitoring best practices. Acting as a subject matter expert and the primary technical lead on all Dynatrace APM (application performance monitoring) improvement efforts.

Responsibilities:

  • Admin for the SaaS Dynatrace Environment providing Monitoring, Observability, and Centralized Logging services to the organization

  • Installs and patch Dynatrace OneAgents on internally hosted servers.

  • Configure and administer Dynatrace Synthetics and Grail.

  • Collaborates with vendor to implement new features and troubleshoot issues

  • Creates key initiatives to ensure stability of the Dynatrace environment.

  • Conducts analysis covering monitoring and logging improvements.

  • Builds monitoring and logging use-cases based on Dynatrace best practices.

  • Serves as a subject matter expert in monitoring resource for interactions with our internal application teams.

  • Assist in preparing technical and procedural documentation required in application system development.

  • Contribute solutions for programming system operations, including encoding, testing, debugging and documenting programs.

Role Requirements:

  • Strong experience in identifying specific problems and resolution alternatives.

  • Demonstrated experience in development of logging scripts.

  • Examines a specific problem and understands the perspective of each involved stakeholder.

  • Develops alternative techniques for assessing accuracy and relevance of information.

  • Helps to analyze risks and benefits of alternative approaches and obtain decision on resolution.

  • Uses fact-finding techniques and diagnostic tools to identify problems.

  • Implements technical documentation standards, guidelines and best practices.

  • Works with vendor-specific diagnostic guides, tools, and utilities.

  • Analyzes code, logs, and current systems as part of advanced troubleshooting.

  • Discovers, analyzes and resolves hardware, software, or application problems.

  • Works with applications, data on a variety of platforms.

Degree Requirement:

  • A 4-year college or university degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study.

Desired experience:

  • Working knowledge of and ability to independently apply one or more programming and/or scripting languages (e.g. Dynatrace Query Language (DQL), Python, React/Node.js, Java, .Net, SQL,

  • Previous experience working with Dynatrace Application Monitoring and Grail platforms.

Additional Information:

  • This role is a hybrid position and would require any successful candidate to commit to a minimum of 3 day per week in office requirement.
