Core Responsibilities
Perform project analysis and support to the Strategic Initiatives Section Manager and Projects Portfolio Managers
Work directly with USS organization and other stakeholders to own and deliver specific projects to completion
Meet with project stakeholders to ensure specific requirements are clarified and considerations are accounted for
Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals
Develop comprehensive project plans for the project team
Develop project reports and presentations as needed
Create, manage, and disburse reports related to the project
Assist the Strategic Initiatives Section Manager and Projects Portfolio Managers to develop project charters and business cases to ensure that project value is measured
Develop project deliverables in compliance with established project standards, leadership & customer expectations
Ensure adoption of new changes by assisting the Strategic Initiatives Section Manager and Projects Portfolio Managers with execution of the change acceptance strategy
Conduct and facilitate training as it relates to projects as needed
Assess and classify impacts of the change on stakeholders and stakeholder groups
Collect, manage, and assess relevant internal and external benchmarks to assess performance
Possess strong complex problem-solving skills and process and control improvement skills, and the ability to challenge assumptions, consider alternative perspectives, think quickly, and work independently and collaboratively in a strong team environment
Develop timely and accurate project reports and communications to appropriate stakeholders
Perform other related tasks and assignments as required
Required Education/Experience
- Bachelor's Degree and 2+ years of relevant work experience
Preferred Education/Experience
Bachelor's Degree Preferably in Business, Supply Chain, Project Management, Information Technology, Engineering, or other related fields and
2+ years of relevant work experience
Relevant Work Experience
Project & Program Management: Ability to manage projects involving multiple stakeholders, create project plans, monitor and communicate performance
Experience leading and working with cross-functional teams
Experience hosting and leading meetings and workshops
Ability to communicate effectively and influence stakeholders
Experience creating training material, project documentation and presentations
Understanding of Change Management principles and techniques
High degree of professionalism
Strong decision-making skills
High degree of initiative and assuming personal responsibility for actions
Well organized and detail oriented with demonstrated time management and priority setting skills Required
Understanding of Oracle
Understanding and experience of technology solutions, including enterprise platform integrations, automations (workflows, RPA etc.), data analytics, reporting and visualization platforms, etc.
Analytics Applications & Techniques
Have an understanding and ability to develop process maps and/or creating user training material
Required
Financial Acumen/Industry/Business Acumen
Understanding of End-to-end Value Chain Cost Analysis
Understanding of Market Intelligence
Basic Knowledge of Business Partner Relationship Management
Understanding of Con Edison Operational Knowledge Preferred
Licenses & Certifications
Driver's License Required
Project Management Professional (PMP) Preferred
Certified Project Management (CPM) Preferred
Other: Lean SIx Sigma trained Preferred
Physical Demands
Must push, pull, lift up to 25 pounds
Must sit or stand to answer a phone for entire shift
Must sit or stand to use a keyboard, mouse, and computer for entire shift
Must have excellent manual dexterity and be able to use hands for entire shift
Must stoop, bend, reach and kneel throughout the workday
Must be able to read small print and symbols.
Must work rotating shifts, including nights, midnights, weekends, and holidays
Other Physical Demands
- Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers.
