Position Summary

The ideal candidate for Revenue Accounting Manager will have a minimum of 7 years of accounting/auditing experience. Candidates who have earned their CPA, have GAAP knowledge, and thrive in a fast paced, high transaction environment would be the best fit. The complexity and success of our business will provide a challenging opportunity with variety of tasks, critical thinking and opportunities in decision making. The Revenue Accounting Manager will report to the VP Revenue Controller.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the revenue recognition for multiple agencies ensuring compliance with GAAP/ASC 606.
  • Support Revenue Controller during the monthly close process including timely preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, financial statements and supporting work papers.
  • Ensure SOX and IPG Standard Policy & Procedures compliance.
  • Review and analyze client agreements to determine proper revenue recognition.
  • Set up, manage and maintain Contract and SOW's within Vantage to ensure proper revenue recognition.
  • Work with Client Finance Directors to ensure client agreements are received on a timely basis.
  • Ensure intercompany/shared revenue is in balance with sister agencies.
  • Prepare quarterly revenue variance commentary
  • Support quarterly, interim, and year-end SOX and Financial Statement audits and reviews
  • Manage 1 revenue accountant.
  • Assist with other projects / research as needed

Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
  • CPA is preferred, but not required
  • 7+ years of experience in a Public Accounting, Internal Audit or within an accounting/finance department handling month end close
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • High integrity
  • A self-starter
  • The right individual will be expected to work independently and as well as collaborate with all levels of employees, management, and sister agency colleagues to maximize performance, problem solving, and results
  • The right candidate must be proficient with MS Office products such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • SAP/Vantage & Hyperion experience preferred

Salary Range
$100,000-$115,000 USD
