Vectrus Security Administrator in Norfolk, Virginia

V2X’s National Security Solutions (NSS) has an immediate opportunity for a Security Administrator with a background in Special Access Program (SAP) security disciplines, facilitation, and administration. This position will be based at our customer site in Norfolk, VA.

Responsibilities

The Security Administrator is an integral part of a team of mobile trainers, logisticians, knowledge managers, and security professionals providing SAP environment security training and administrative support to US Naval activities worldwide. The Security Administrator will need a high degree of initiative, tact, diplomacy, and mature judgement as they manage the SAP Nomination Process (SAPNP) for students attending training courses, maintain physical security standards within the government spaces, and oversee a variety of additional security functions. Specific responsibilities will include:

• Manage and execute all security administrative actions required to process personnel attending training courses through the Navy’s Program Access Request (PAR) process utilizing Department of Defense (DoD) SAPNP criteria.• Manage the submission and data entry of all PARs, completed Program Indoctrination Agreements (PIA’s), and facility information utilizing the Joint Access Database System (JADs) and Joint Access Database Enterprise (JADE).• Evaluate prospective student clearances to attend SAP security training, verify student completion of course security prerequisites, and provide recommendations to government customer and leadership on student acceptance to security courses.• Track the student course approval process, maintain status, and obtain signatures as required and provide PAR tracking status metrics to the Government Program Security Officer (PSO).• Evaluate visit certifications and clearance status for non-student personnel requesting access to the government facility, advise the government customer on individual’s status, and obtain appropriate approvals.• Manage the preparation and submission of government customer and assigned cleared contractors visit certifications/requests.• Assess government spaces ensuring physical security standards meet DoD and Intelligence Community (IC) requirements—reporting findings, potential discrepancies, and recommend solutions to the facility GSSO.• Maintain awareness of current, new, or modifications to existing DoD and IC security policies/procedures and assist SAP Security Trainers in incorporating such information in curriculum, SOPs, Job Aids, and more.• Advise government customers, management, and visitors on security policies and procedures ensuring compliance with DoD and IC security requirements.• Manage classified material within the government facility ensuring adherence to DoD and IC standards.• Assist in managing various content material on the government SharePoint and Access Database.• Attend and facilitates meetings (including classified), prepare agendas, track action items, and distribute minutes as needed.• Perform entry, exit, visitor processing, and escorting as needed.

Material & Equipment Directly Used:

Workstations on classified and unclassified networks; MS Windows OS; MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Outlook), MS Visio, Adobe and additional software provided by the Government.

Working Environment:

The Security Administrator will perform work at a government facility in an office environment.

Physical Activities:

Must be able to lift up to 20lbs.

Qualifications

Education / Certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or five (5) years’ experience in a DoD Security environment (military, government civilian, or federal government contracting).• Must have an active Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) or be willing to obtain within one (1) year of employment.

Experience / Skills:

• Comprehensive knowledge in all security disciplines at the SAP level.• Comprehensive knowledge of Navy, DoD, and IC policies regarding Personnel, Physical, and Information Security Standards and Procedures.• Demonstrated experience working with Defense Information System for Security (DISS), JADs, and JADE.

• Demonstrated experience with MS Office Tools, SharePoint, and Adobe Professional (PDF).• Decision making skills that promote working autonomously when managing and executing projects, tasks, and work assignments.• Excellent organization skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent deadlines.• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
