Mission Support and Test Services, LLC (MSTS) manages and operates the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS) for the U.S. National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). Responsibilities

The University Relations Coordinator is responsible for a variety of essential activities that increases the visibility of our brand on college/university campuses and attracts students and alumni to apply to open positions. The University Relations Coordinator's primary function is to help execute the tactical elements of the NNSS outreach to a variety of colleges and universities, alumni associations, etc. under the supervision of the Talent Acquisition Manager.

The ideal candidate will be a strong and motivated team member, committed to upholding high standards for the NNSS and strengthening communication both within Talent Acquisition and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with developing and maintaining outreach communications for newly identified university and external partners (i.e. career service reps, key faculty, diversity organizations, etc.)

  • Plan and execute campus events for recruitment and relationship building.

  • Facilitate registration for employees attending events and distribution of materials.

  • Partner with Talent Partners to ensure that the necessary information has been communicated to attend scheduled events.

  • Audits and maintains company swag inventory.

  • Evaluates progress and results of university relations event and recommends changes when necessary.

  • Travel to and participate in events.

  • Key player in supporting the Student Program initiative.

  • Co-lead the Summer Intern Program.

  • Facilitate internal recruiting update meetings with group managers.

  • Research and report on different University programs as well as market, maintain and establish our brand on campus.

  • Coordinate/manage our office interviewing program (including facilitation of interviewer trainings and post-interview debriefs).

  • Leverage data analytics and recruiting metrics to track progress, drive operational improvements & excellence, and support team growth.

  • Enhances organizational and individual awareness of diversity in the workplace.

  • Collaborate with vendors such as Handshake and Yello to post open positions.

  • Collaborate with Public Affairs on an as-needed basis.

  • Perform other duties assigned by Management.

Qualifications

Due to the nature of our work, US Citizenship is required for all positions.

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field and at least 5 years’ of professional level experience, or equivalent training and experience .

  • Experience in University Relations and Recruiting required.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to plan and organize effectively.

  • Travel up to 30%.

  • The primary work location will be at the Losee Road facility in North Las Vegas, Nevada.

  • Position is hybrid 2-3 days on site/weekly

  • Full-Time Work schedule: 4/10s Monday-Thursday with flexibility to work additional hours/days when required by management.

  • Pre-placement physical examination, which includes a drug screen, is required. MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.

  • Must possess a valid driver's license.

    Ability to obtain a HSPD-12 Personal Identity Verification credential under the Department of Energy Order 206.2, ‘ Identity, Credential, and Access Management ,’ and Supplemental Directive NNSA SD 206.2, ‘ Implementation of Personal Identity Verification for Uncleared Contractors .’

Annual salary range for this position is: $77,001.60 to $115,502.40.

Starting salary is determined based on the position market value, the individual candidate education and experience and internal equity.
