Description

Seeking low voltage cable technicians for the Ames and Des Moines region – company car provided for travel.

Duties:

· Pulling/routing cable

· Terminating phone jacks, dressing & terminating distribution frames

· Installing support structures (ladders, racks, j-hooks).

· Running/bending conduit, with digital multi-meters, and testing cable.

· Troubleshoot network issues

· Rack/stack

· Put together server racks and patch panels

Requirements

Cabling, Low Voltage Cabling, CAT5, CAT6, Digital multimeters, Racking, Patch Panel

Must haves:

· Valid Driver’s License

· 1+ years of experience within commercial environment

· CAT 5 or CAT 6 cable pulling/routing in new construction or remodel commercial environment

Nice to haves:

· Familiarity with BICSI, EIA, TIA, and/or NEC standards

· Fiber experience

· Ability to read/understand schematic and line diagrams
