As an Avionics Systems Engineer II here at Honeywell within our Flight Systems group , you will join a team a talented team of engineers in the analysis, design, integration, and development of advanced aircraft Flight Control systems. You will work closely with cross functional engineering teams to ensure the safety, efficiency, and reliability of Flight Control systems. Your passion for aviation and eagerness to learn will be instrumental in shaping the future of flight controls technology.

You will work out of our Phoenix, AZ (Deer Valley) location on a Hybrid work schedule.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you will have the opportunity to make an impact on the development of innovative solutions for Flight Controls and contribute to the advanced of avionics technology

  • Contribute to the design and development of advanced flight controls

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of avionics systems

  • Test and validate flight control systems to ensure compliance with aviation regulations and safety standards

  • Assist with resolving complex issues related to flight control systems

  • Flight test and issue investigation

  • Requirement analysis and decomposition

  • Systems design

  • Systems integration

    U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, or related field; with 2+ years of experience in Aerospace, Flight Controls, Avionics or related.

  • OR a Masters Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautics, or related with a combination of academic project, internship and/or co-op experience

  • Experience, exposure and knowledge of Aerospace systems, Flight Control, Avionics, etc.

  • Eagerness to learn and contribute to a dynamic engineering environment

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills

  • Ability to identify problems and significantly improve or change existing methods and technique

  • Ability to adapt dictated by program changes

  • Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work independently
