Our Opportunity:

Schwab Business Learning is seeking a Learning Manager to support the Branch Network. The role is responsible for implementing and facilitating learning solutions that are strategically aligned with organizational goals and objectives. The Learning Manager actively supports the transfer of learning throughout the organization. In addition, the Learning Manager assists the Instructional Design Team with development and design of organizational learning solutions.

What you’ll do:

  • You’ll be an individual contributor who primarily supports training, learning and development within Schwab Private Client (SPC) and the Branch Network with occasional support of other business units.

  • Coordinate, facilitate and deliver learning activities that support SPC’s and the Branch Network’s business priorities and goals including classroom and virtual facilitation, coaching, mentoring, and knowledge sharing within and across business units.

  • Assist with or lead projects and related activities that support learning in SPC and the Branch network, to include new products and services, marketing initiatives, technical advancements, organizational/enterprise needs, and vendor solutions.

  • Deliver high impact, interactive and engaging learning solutions that include field-led formal and informal training sessions via classroom and/or virtual delivery channels on both a regional and National level.

  • Quickly develop subject matter expertise on SPC and Branch New Hire Programs and work closely with Managers to support their efforts to onboard new employees.

  • Work with in-house instructional designers to consult on customized training programs.

  • Support the continued development of a learning and coaching focused culture through direct, open and thought provoking discussions with SPC & Branch leadership and Schwab Business Learning team members.

  • Assist with the design, implementation and delivery of business specific learning solutions that adhere to policy and national standards of excellence.

What you have:

  • Series 7 & 63 required.

  • Minimum 2 years of sales and/or relationship management experience at an investment services related firm preferred.

  • Minimum 2 years wealth management or financial planning experience preferred.

  • Experience in, and a passion for, coaching, training, learning, or employee talent and skill development.

  • Proven ability to work with limited supervision and to manage multiple aspects of small scale projects.

  • Ability to consult with business leaders using a question based methodology.

  • Client focused with an ability to build and sustain relationships, establish trust, and influence others.

  • Demonstrated presentation and/or facilitation skills, which includes presenting to large, multi-level audiences.

  • A willingness to work in a high-change environment.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Experience interacting with senior leadership.

  • Series 9 & 10 preferred.

  • BA/BS Degree preferred.

  • Up to 50% travel required based on business need.
