Third Party Continuity Management and Governance (TPCMG) is a business unit which operates within Charles Schwab Corporation’s (CSC’s) Business Continuity and Incident Management (BCIM) Team and is responsible for the oversight and direction of the TPCMG program. The program captures the third party service provider life-cycle and associated continuity management processes across elements identified in FFIEC Appendix J (i.e., Third Party Continuity Management, Third Party Capacity, Third Party Testing, and Cyber Resilience).
What you’ll do:
Partner with the Sr. Team Manager of TPCMG to implement the Third Party Continuity Management framework for the organization.
Partner with numerous internal stakeholders to implement cross-functional elements of the Third Party Continuity Management Program.
Develop, implement, and oversee a framework to monitor the performance of continuity critical third party service providers and to manage incidents at third parties.
Partner with the BC Planning Team to implement minimum requirements to be documented for third party service providers within departmental BC plans.
Implement playbooks associated with continuity critical third party service providers and the business units associated with them and perform ongoing reviews and maintenance as necessary.
Implement a third party testing framework that includes a maturity model to incorporate technology testing, integrated testing, operational testing, and industry testing into the third party continuity management program.
Facilitate testing with the Business and continuity critical third party service providers
Define reporting requirements and metrics for tracking progress of the program and leverage available resources implement processes that promote reporting efficiencies.
Provide ad-hoc support for implementing additional TPCMG program activities (e.g., Cyber Resilience)
What you have:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
CBCP, BCI, or similar certification preferred
6-8 years of proven crisis management, business continuity, disaster recovery, vendor management or similar experience preferred
Highly refined verbal and written communication skills; must be extremely comfortable with and highly effective at communicating to senior management
Able to build rapport with various business partners, internal stakeholders, and CSC Leadership
Broad, high-level understanding of the Corporation’s lines of business and support functions, including, but not limited to: Investor Services, Advisor Services, Retirement Services, Schwab Bank, Investment Management, Corporate Vendor Management, Information Security Risk Management, Schwab Technology Services.
Knowledge of the Financial Services industry, and more specifically, the FFEIC Appendix J elements
