Intel Software Application Development Engineer in Phoenix, Arizona

Job Description

The Technology Development Analytics and Technology Automation (TD ATA) Manufacturing Execution Systems team is seeking an experienced software developer to design, develop, and support software control systems used to automate factory equipment in Intel's manufacturing facilities worldwide.

In this role, you will be responsible for design, development, validation, and support of automation software to enable manufacturing technologies. The position requires the ability to independently manage work assignments and complete project lifecycle management (i.e., requirement analysis to deployment and support).Responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Analyzing the customer requirements and designing software solutions to meet requirements. Maintaining clear communications with customers and stakeholders. Creating robust, reliable, and high-performance applications that satisfy all customer requirements. Creating and running test suites to prove the functionality, reliability, and performance of the applications you develop. Providing expert level support to factory technicians and process engineers on use of these applications.

The candidate should also exhibit the following behavioral traits and/or skills: Analytical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Written and oral communication skills. Teamwork skills and collaboration skills. Tolerance of ambiguity and self-motivation.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related discipline 3+ years of experience in: Software design and development. Microsoft Windows platform using C# and .Net Framework.

Preferred Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in Factory Automation with development and support of mission critical systems.

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
