About the role

As a CBRE Finance Sr. Coordinator, you will assist with complex projects, implementations, and training sessions related to operational improvements. This job is part of the Financial Strategy and Operations job function. They are responsible for maintaining accounting, financial, and reporting policies and controls.

What you’ll do

  • Review data on transactional activities and functions including vendor invoice processing, 1009 and tax processing, lease administration, and cash receipt applications.

  • Evaluate identified operational improvement initiatives and provide results to management.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve advanced inquiries and requests from internal customers.

  • Assist with implementing complex operational improvements and provide results to partners.

  • Respond to difficult inquiries from internal customers.

  • Recognize and solve typical and atypical problems that can occur in own work area without supervisory approval.

  • Evaluate and select solutions from established options.

  • Impact team through the quality of the services or information provided.

  • Follow standardized procedures and practices and receive regular but moderate supervision and guidance.

  • Completes data entry and follow-up procedures to support a variety of accounts receivable and/or accounts payable transactions in accordance with established timeframes.

  • Monitors account payable system exceptions and works with partners to resolve the identified issues.

  • Conducts peer review of various financial operations accounting transactions to align with department policies and procedures.

  • Monitors, troubleshoots, and responds to internal and external inquiries through financial operations shared mailboxes or other established methods.

  • Completes updates to applicable trackers and processing manuals for portfolio of assigned work.

  • Perform Accounts Payable uploads as required by the finance team.

  • Navigate the purchase order system to match open invoices for timely processing of expenses.

  • Participates in internal and external audits as needed.

  • Provide clerical and administrative support to the finance team.

What you’ll need

High School Diploma or GED with 2-3 years of job-related experience.

An established understanding of work routines and standards and applying skills and knowledge in a range of processes, procedures, and systems are required.

Requires intermediate problem-solving skills with the capacity to review and select solutions from available options without supervisory approval.

Ability to explain detailed and complicated information within the team in a clear and concise manner.

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

Strong organizational skills with a robust inquisitive approach.

General math skills. Ability to calculate advanced figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups or complicated information within the team.
