Our Opportunity:

The Enterprise Technology & Infrastructure organization at Schwab is comprised of centralized teams that support Schwab business goals through the delivery of technology, operations, projects, business continuity and offshore management. The focus is on maximizing operating leverage by integrating functions, increasing productivity and gaining efficiencies in order to better position Schwab to compete in the marketplace and to reinvest in areas that matter most to our clients.

What you’ll do:

As part of the Security Solutions team, you will support, configure and maintain the Carbon Black Protection infrastructure as well supporting McAfee EPO and Active Directory Group Policy for the firm. The successful candidate with work closely with management and our technology partners to lead and set direction for the Desktop and Server OS security stack.

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to work in an enterprise environment where it is required to keep up to date on security, procedures, and policies and to ensure they are consistently followed.

  • Ability to interact with the business, technology partners and product owners to define security requirements.

  • Participate in team OnCall rotation

What you have:

  • Must understand Application Whitelisting and Sandboxing technologies (McAfee, Carbon Black, FireEye, PaloAlto, etc.). Required understanding in one or more proven application whitelisting technology and supporting products.

  • At least 10 years of IT experience.

  • Solid understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems including XP, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10, RHEL.

  • Solid understanding of Active Directory groups

  • Solid scripting ability; PowerShell is a plus

  • At least 4 years of experience managing a security technology solution for an enterprise (McAfee, Symantec, etc.)

  • Previous Carbon Black Protection or Bit9 Administration experience is a plus.

  • At least 2 year experience dealing with virus/worm outbreaks and malware analysis

  • Strong knowledge in of all core internet protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP, etc.

  • This role will be a point of contact for all technical support issues including, but not limited to troubleshooting, case escalation, case management, problem resolution.

  • Experience with administration including the ability to configure and resolve complex security issues in support of enterprise endpoints (25,000+ nodes) in a geographically dispersed environment.

  • Previous analysis experience to maintain the Application Whitelisting and Sandboxing technology and to create rules and policy in accordance with industry standards and best practices.

  • Familiar with different product deployment methodologies to deploy technology updates and ensure ongoing vendor support and licensing for endpoint security products.

  • Resolve and document complex security issues including root cause analysis, prevention and workarounds.

  • Identify process and technical improvements for the environment

  • Establish and maintain configurations and policies.

  • Understand client's operational and sustainment methodologies and processes
