Our Opportunity:

Join a collaborative team at the Schwab South Mountain campus in Phoenix. This role will support a large-scale z/OS

systems network software and program products during Schwab’s multi-year modernization/conversion to a distributed platform. While supporting the mainframe environment during the transition, you will also have an opportunity to learn new skills with the potential to eventually evolve into supporting distributed systems for Schwab.

What you’ll do:

  • Acquire upgrades, install, test and migrate system software products in a highly available IBM Mainframe z/OS SYSPLEX multiple LPAR environment that utilizes JES2.

  • Provide intradepartmental technical consulting for system and network related products

  • Mentor and train personnel on z/OS data communication

What you have:

  • Seven or more years’ experience as a Mainframe Network engineer supporting Parallel Sysplex

  • Configure, debug and maintain TCPIP subsystems configurations

  • Configure, debug, and maintain VTAM subsystems configurations

  • Knowledge of all products using SNA & IP ( DB2, CICS, TSO/ISPF, Netview, Connect:Direct, JES2)

  • Utilize mainframe Configuration Manager under z/OSMFUtilize SMP/E, TSO/ISPF and SDSF/ISPF to monitor, install, configure, and maintain system program products

  • Configure and implement AT-TLS rules ( digital certificate management)

  • Configure and implement IPSEC policies ( permit/deny rules , VPN-- ipsec tunnels)

  • Secure Encrypted data transfers (NDM, SFTP and FTP/TLS)

  • Tcpip trace analysis – IP, Socket, OSA adapter ,SNA(EE)

  • Nice to have: Z/VM network components configuration and maintain
