What you’ll do:
In this role, you will be taking inbound calls, emails and chats from retirement plan participants who are participating in the Schwab 401k offering. You are responsible for servicing the needs of participants, which includes assisting with trades, enabling online access, answering general retirement plan questions, operational issues, and other customer service issues. Participant Services service professionals use a consultative approach to help participants reach their financial goals.
Additionally, you will:
Complete a mix of instructor led classroom training and on-the-job learning in your first year
Learn about the fascinating world of financial services and the unique position Schwab has in the industry
Work individually as well as in a team environment
Successfully pass the Series 7 and 66 securities examinations

What you have:
The ideal candidate will have:
Successful completion of our Client Focus Assessment which measures potential talent and role fit
Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR equivalent work experience
Minimum 2 years requisite experience, with emphasis on customer service preferred (internships and collegiate activities will be considered)
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication
Exceptional customer service focus with the ability to build relationships with each interaction
Strong team orientation and work ethic
Ability to manage complex work and be self-directed
Effective listening and probing skills to understand needs and provide solutions to clients
Working knowledge of computer and software applications
