Job Title:  Senior Security Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Rockville, MD 

Overview: The Senior Security Infrastructure Engineer plays a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the security posture of both on-premise and AWS cloud environments. This position is responsible for the implementation and management of advanced security solutions and continuous diagnostic and mitigation efforts.

Responsibilities:

  • Task Area 4.1.7 – Continuous Diagnostic and Mitigation: Provide technical support for systems, tools, and users, focusing on configuration management, vulnerability management, and incident management.

  • Lead the deployment of centralized logging and SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) as part of the Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) implementation.

  • Evaluate and oversee the implementation of security solutions that support network security and patch management.

  • Task Area 2 – Infrastructure and Cloud Engineering Support: Assist in Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity/Continuity of Operations Planning (COOP), as well as Backup and Recovery activities.

  • Develop and manage interconnections between on-premise systems and cloud environments to ensure Trusted Internet Connection (TIC) compliance.

    Qualifications:

  • Must possess an undergraduate degree in a relevant field of study.

  • A minimum of 5 years of technical experience in security infrastructure roles.

  • Expertise with tools such as Splunk, Forescout, and Archer.

  • Must possess or be able to obtain a Tier 2 Public Trust clearance.

  • Certifications in network security or systems security are highly desirable.

    Tools and Technologies:

  • Proficient in the use of security tools like Splunk, Forescout, and Archer for managing security events and compliance.

  • Experienced with security solutions applicable to both on-premise and AWS cloud environments, ensuring robust security across all platforms.

    Work Hours:

  • Standard work hours are from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, excluding Federal holidays.
